Kirbe made her first trip to SXSW — where Lizzy was asked to speak on Women of the Modern West.
Austin is the hottest place to be in March during this fun-filled, music-driven, creative festival with the best bands/artists and individuals/entrepreneurs sharing ideas.
It was my first time to go to SXSW and being able to visit the Visit Fort Worth exhibit, where I was able to cheer on Lizzy and listen to her tell her inspiring story of starting City Boots, was fantastic.

Not only do you have a beer in one hand but you are listening to the movers and shakers of todays various industries. Whether tech or retail, beauty or entertainment — people who are making a difference. There are a variety of leaders and learners and it is beyond exciting to be surrounded by them and hearing their stories.
Needless to say, our trip was not all work — there was definitely PLAY! The streets were buzzing from sun up to sun down. With a few cocktails here and there at different hot spots across the city and plenty to see and do, we had a GOOD time.
Listening to Easton Corbin, (who in the past I’ve interviewed on the red carpet at the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas) is always fun. He puts on a great live show, and it was definitely one of my faves of the weekend!
From food to arts to inspiration to (again) cocktails — Austin is the place to be at this time of year, and while you might not be there for a long time (because we weren’t lol), you are there for a good time (and we had one)!
Us trying to get the perfect shot in front of the Visit Fort Worth sign in our matching pink City Boots (no, we didn’t plan that).
