Kirbe’s cohost and bestie Lizzy Bentley is a self-made businesswoman with a quick wit and bold sense of style.
Since founding City Boots in 2016, Lizzy has built her direct-to-consumer business into a nationally recognized label.
In just the last year, Lizzy has been profiled by the Wall Street Journal, honored with the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the Cox School of Business at her alma mater, Southern Methodist University, and was even asked to speak at SXSW as part of Visit Fort Worth’s Women of the Modern West panel. Her boots have been worn by celebrities, influencers and politicians, and they’ve been featured in numerous publications including Cowgirl Magazine, Cowboys & Indians, Western Runway. Fort Worth Magazine, and Paper City, to name a few.
A lifelong boot wearer from Amarillo, Texas, Lizzy honed her distinctive West Texas-meets-big city style while attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She took a job in oil and gas after graduation, and while working in the corporate world, she became increasingly frustrated that, even though many of her male colleagues wore boots to the office, she couldn’t find women’s boots befitting of the board room.
Eventually she designed her own, and from there, she developed the City Boot. Today her designs are worn by women nationwide, in all walks of life. City Boots can be found in the office, on the ranch, at rodeos, weddings and festivals, and everywhere in between.
The success of City Boots brought Lizzy to Fort Worth, where she opened a storefront at The Local on Vickery (and where she met bestie Kirbe Schnoor).
She’s no stranger to the spotlight or large audiences. When not in one of her DFW showrooms, Lizzy is on the road, working events and trade shows with her team across the country and getting to know her customers, who all want to meet the “City Boots girl.”
When developing the concept for Kirb Appeal, Kirbe knew Lizzy would make the perfect cohost — not only for their natural chemistry but also Lizzy’s innate ability to connect with people.
Lizzy opened her second City Boots showroom in Dallas in April.. You can try on her latest designs at the Dallas location by appointment or walk-in anytime during regular business hours to the flagship Fort Worth store. To shop her collection online, click HERE.
