This week we got to talk to someone who truly inspires us — philanthropist Katie Stadler, founder of of the nonprofit BeHumanKindness.
We met Katie a while back, and hearing her story, we knew it was one we wanted to tell. In the last year, her life changed completely. She went from raising her family in Fort Worth to splitting her time between Texas and Eastern Europe, where she helps relocate Ukrainian families to safehouses in Poland as Russia continues to occupy their home country. Through her organization BeHumanKindness, Katie not only offers these families shelter and food in the safety of Warsaw, but also the tools and help they need to start over.
The work Katie has done, and the thousands of people she’s helped, is incredible. Prepare yourself, this episode is a tearjerker! But it’s also one not to miss.

ABOUT BE HUMAN KINDNESS
BeHumanKindness supports, navigates and empowers families with choices for the next steps of relocation after their evacuation from Ukraine.
Their program is committed to protecting the nuclear family with safe, stable housing during the relocation process, while providing for their immediate needs after evacuation.
Once families are settled in the BHK program, they’re guided to make decisions for long term stability – such as securing long-term housing, enrolling children in childcare and accredited schooling and finally, empowering the mothers and caretakers to find jobs to promote normalcy, positive mental health and healing.
Hundreds of families have become part of the BeHumanKindness relocation program, with over 4,000 refugees safely relocated and now living in over 25 different countries around the world.
They have been provided shelter at the BHK safehouses in Warsaw, worked with BHK caseworkers through the relocation program and have found success and stability for their families until they can safely return to Ukraine.
All refugees, including children, are thoroughly documented in the program so that they have continued access to BHK services and support from any country.
BeHumanKindness has partnered with like-minded nonprofits and corporations from around the world to help bridge the gap in humanitarian aid and awareness for families living in crisis and conflict zones.
Through these partnerships BeHumanKindness shares immediate needs, integrates resources, collaborates on strategies and works to provide the full scope of aid and services needed.
