Cindy Lauper said it best, “Girls just want to have fun” and that’s exactly what we wanted to do on our first episode. So, we asked two of our most fun friends and a fellow set of besties to come on as our first guests, Katey McFarlan Hellman and Bekah Hale Pollock.
Katey (@kateymcfarlan) is and blogger, influencer and the proprietress of Chronicles of Frivolity (chroniclesoffrivolity.com). She loves fashion, home design and connecting people with the right products for them. Katey believes that “what’s frivolous can also make your everyday fun!” chroniclesoffrivolity.com
Bekah (@bekahhalepollock) is the founder and owner of Hale House (one of our fav stores), known for its eclectic collection of bright and cheery apparel, accessories, décor and gifts. She’s definitely not afraid to mix prints or add sequins! shophalehouse.com
We talked to Katey and Bekah about their business ventures, social media presence, family, friendship, our favorite spots in Fort Worth and our recent trip to Round Top. (Katey and Kirbe were both first timers while Lizzy and Bekah are seasoned vets.) We laugh, swap embarrassing stories, talk a lot about Katey’s new copper pot and the effects of Joe T’s margaritas and have a lot of FUN.

“Part of the reason why Lizzy and I wanted to do Kirb Appeal is because we are constantly talking to each other through the good, the bad and everything in between. We want to be able to share our experiences with other people, and when you meet other women who you know have that same type of relationship, you just instantly connect. We all had word vomit; we could have talked for hours! They had such great stories about life and friendship, as well as moments together that have made their lives more meaningful. The statement is true about who you surround yourself with, you are the company you keep. You can tell that just like Lizzy and I try to do for each other, Bekah and Katey lift each other up, they encourage each other, they cheer each other on, and they hold each other accountable. To be the person we all need and to make life a little more fun. I hope everyone enjoys listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed making it. Katey and Bekah, come back anytime! We we will have the Prosecco on ice for you.” — Kirbe
