This week we welcomed Charla Corn Barrett — our personal House of Colour stylist!
Charla joins us to explain how she helps women find the right colors for their skin tone and season, how the House of Colour wheel works and how wearing the right colors can make you look younger, brighter and even more fabulous. We talk all things beauty, style and House of Colour, as well as Fort Worth, family and Charla’s previous life in Nashville and country music career!
“Sitting down with Charla was a breath of fresh air with a mix of a colorful conversation! She is absolutely glowing when she steps into a room, and not because she is outwardly beautiful but something shines from within. Maybe it’s the confidence she’s been instilled with from her life experiences or it’s the experience she has gained by doing Colours by Charla. Either way when she steps foot into your presence you are drawn to her and cant wait to chat! Lizzy and I both just listened in awe of the various adventures life has taken her on. From living in Nashville and pursuing a country music career to reading peoples’ seasons – which she explains more in her episode of KirbAppeal – she believes in using her voice in more ways than one. A wife, mother, business woman – she has paved a way for her children to respect, admire and learn from, as well as others to take part in and experience. Understanding that beauty comes from within and when you look good – you feel good. She provides that for her people, family, friends and clients. It was so fun to get to know her on a personal level and her about her roots.
Growing up in Lubbock, Texas, ain’t for the faint of heart! No offense to our Lubbock friends and listeners – it takes a special kind. Making her way to the DFW, meeting her husband and creating a career or multitude of careers is something she is passionate about and good at. Take a listen to KA then take a look at her fun loving social media and you too will see why this episode with Charla was one of our faves!” — Kirbe
